Spanky is a widely respected, top level producer\musician who's credits include L.L.COOL J, MC BRAINS, BELL BIV DAVOE, CHRISTINA MILIAN, LITTLE RICHARD, THE CHI-LITES, BRANFORD MARSALIS, and many many more. Born RODNEY THOMAS,"SPANKY" played piano in his father's church from age 12 to 16. He attended Indiana University as a Jazz Studies major for 2 years. Joined the VOYAGE BAND and moved to Los Angeles after signing a contract with MOTOWN RECORDS. Meeting KING C through a mutual friend,they quickly realized that they had the same musical tastes and they started a band that the world had never seen before. KING C and THE FUNKY FLAVA showcased for RANDY JACKSON, of "American Idol" fame, and also EPIC RECORDS, but no one really understood the FLAVA. After that enlightening experience KING C, his wife ALBERTA, and SPANKY formed KACHING RECORDS and searched the globe for the kind of artists that were accessible and real, but at the same time, have a superstar aura that's undeniable.
